How to read these engagements

The three engagements below address different stages of the same question: where does AI fit in your operation, and how do you implement it where the conditions are right. They can be taken in sequence or individually, depending on where you are in the process.

Each page linked below includes a full breakdown of what is covered, what the process looks like, how much internal time is required from your team, and what you receive at the end.

Process Suitability Assessment

Engagement 01 · 3 weeks

Process Suitability Assessment

A short engagement examining your candidate processes against documented criteria — volume, variability, error tolerance, documentation quality, and availability of historical examples. The output is a ranked table showing which processes are suited to automated handling and which are not, with reasons and estimated running costs stated for each.

Duration

3 weeks

Included in this engagement

  • Ranked table of candidate processes with suitability determination
  • Estimated effort and running cost for each suitable process
  • Explicit list of processes better left unautomated, with reasons
  • Written report delivered at the end of the three-week period

Suited to management teams under pressure to adopt AI tools without a clear reason for doing so.

Internal time required from your team

These figures reflect the time your staff should expect to spend at each stage — not OR Path Land's time, but yours. Knowing this in advance avoids the common problem of discovering the commitment mid-engagement.

Stage Process Assessment Quality Support Vendor Advisory
Initial briefing 2–3 hours 2–3 hours 3–4 hours
Process / material access 4–6 hours 8–12 hours 4–6 hours
Review and feedback 2 hours Ongoing · 1–2 hrs/week 3–5 hours
Final report review 1–2 hours 2–3 hours 2–3 hours
Total internal time ~9–13 hours ~22–35 hours ~12–18 hours

Figures are estimates based on typical engagements. Actual time may vary by organisation size and process complexity.

Questions often asked before starting

Can the engagements be taken in any order?

Yes. Each engagement stands on its own. A company that has already determined which processes it wants to automate can go directly to vendor advisory without the assessment. A company already past vendor selection can focus on quality support. There is no required sequence.

What if the assessment concludes that none of our processes are suitable?

That outcome is documented and delivered as a written finding with specific reasons. This is a legitimate and sometimes useful result — it provides a clear, defensible answer to the adoption question that management can act on.

Do you continue to support after an engagement closes?

Follow-on questions related to a completed engagement can be addressed via email. Further structured support would typically begin as a new engagement. There are no retainer arrangements.

Are the prices negotiable?

Prices are set per engagement and are not adjusted based on company size or other factors. The price shown is the price charged. If scope needs to differ from the standard engagement, that can be discussed at the outset.

If you are uncertain which engagement fits, that is what the initial conversation is for

A short discussion about your situation — what you are working through, which processes are involved, where you are in the decision — is enough to clarify which engagement is most relevant, or whether any of them are.
